1 Corinthians 13

A close friend sent this to me in a text last night.  Whatever your beliefs these words remain true.

1 Corinthians 13

Love is patient; love is kind
and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
never selfish, not quick to take offense.
There is nothing love cannot face;
there is no limit to its faith,
its hope, and endurance.
In a word, there are three things
that last forever: faith, hope, and love;
but the greatest of them all is love.

Stick Of Indifference

First you ensnare me with your beauty, then you torment me... Giving me the tiniest piece of what I want only to snatch it away and poke me with a great big stick of indifference. 

If you set me free, I shall be limping and broken for eternity. Can you not find the compassion in your heart to open the trap and make me your own?


(Just found this again but I wrote it a while ago.  It's kinda prose, I suppose...  Who knows?)
